This program combines fun activities with capable individuals who can help empower young people across our communities. For us here at Elite Learners, Inc., we take our mentorship programs seriously. As Oprah said, “A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself”.
Our community-based mentors have each committed six hours every week to participate in community activities, training, and working with young people between the ages of 7 and 16.
The community-based mentorship program offers young people a one-on-one mentorship program that spans across different activities. On one day we are painting the walls of Brooklyn, and on another cooking for our communities.
This program aims to inspire our youth to realize their full potential and strive to become their best. Statistics prove that 55% of young people with mentors are more likely to pursue higher education. The numbers also continue to prove that 90% of those mentees grow up to pay it forward and become mentors themselves.
